WHITNEY P. BOISE Whitney
Boise has been exclusively practicing criminal defense for the past
18 years. During this time, he has represented clients in some of
the highest profile criminal cases in Oregon, including the Tonya
Harding scandal, Eldridge Broussard slavery case, the Barbara Waldron
murder investigation, and the "Portland Six" terrorism
case. He has also represented professional athletes and Admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 1985, Whitney began his career as a criminal defense lawyer in 1987 at the Multnomah County Metropolitan Public Defender's Office. Over a four-year period, he successfully represented hundreds of indigent clients charged with crimes ranging from Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants to Murder. After compiling a very successful jury trial record, he joined the firm in 1991. Now a named partner, Whitney practices criminal defense in both state and federal courts, frequently retained by persons charged with a variety of crimes around the state. Whitney is a former chair of the Oregon State Bar Criminal Law Section
and an active member of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
Whitney has also written a number of articles for criminal defense
publications and spoken at criminal defense seminars. Whitney's peers
have given him their highest ranking for legal ability and ethical
